Sarah is a multimedia journalist based in D.C. focusing on stories that encompass social and economic inequality, in particular accessibility advocacy for the Deaf and hard of hearing community.

Having an older deaf brother, she grew up bilingual in American Sign Language (ASL) and English balancing deaf culture and a larger hearing world. From her own lived experiences, she is driven to make work that explores a more nuanced approach to visualizing the lives of Deaf and hard of hearing people.

She is a member of WPOW, Women Photojournalists of Washington, and American Photographic Artists (APA - DC).
